Research in temperament has blossomed in the last 15 years through the efforts of literally hundreds of scientists in many disciplines.

Meetings:

OTC 2006: Brown University

The organizers of the 16th OTC held this year's meetings, on October 12-14, 2006 in Providence, RI. The conference was located at the Center for the Study of Human Development at Brown University. Program organizers were Ronald Seifer, PhD and Judith Bandieri. A number of leaders in temperament research and clinical applications in practice gathered at OTC to present papers and discussed issues in the field. Attendees included professionals and students interested in temperament research as well as clinicians and practitioners. OTC meetings offer a rare opportunity for academicians and practitioners to interact on topics of mutual interest.

OTC 2004: University of Georgia

The 15th Occasional Temperament Conference was held October 28-31, 2004 in Athens, Georgia. OTC 2004 was hosted by Charles Halverson, Valerie Havill, Roy Martin and colleagues from the University of Georgia.

Leading temperament researchers in the US and Europe were invited to attend. The organizers held a state of the art conference in which participants learned from the most active researchers in the field. The spirit of OTC has been to keep the meetings small in order to foster communication among those present. This conference included invited addresses, noninvited addresses, and poster sessions
